FAQ's

Where are you located?
We are at 2303 Double Churches Road, directly across the street from Double Churches Park – across from the swimming pool! Click here for a map.

What can I expect during the Worship Service?
Our worship service focuses on the glory of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our pastor preaches expositional sermons from the Bible. We pray, read Scripture, confess our faith, celebrate the Lord's Supper, and sing songs of faith, both traditional and contemporary.

What should I wear?
Our desire is that you be comfortable! Our pastor hates wearing ties, even though he does a few times a year. A few people “dress-up” but most of us are in everything from business casual to jeans and sneakers, even shorts! Come as you are.

What denomination are you a part of?
We are a part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The PCA is committed to the infallibility and authority of the Bible and the primacy of the Great Commission, with our roots in the truths of the Protestant Reformation.

Is there anything for my children?

We have Sunday School classes for everyone ages two and up at 9:30am. We have an infant nursery (located in the front building) during the Sunday School hour. During the Worship Service we have a nursery for infants to three-year-olds where your child will be cared for by loving caregivers. You are always welcome to bring your children of any age into the worship service with you – we love kids!

My family has a member with special needs, will we be welcomed?
If you or your children have special needs, we hope that you will feel especially welcome at Westminster. For your children, we have Sunday School teachers that are prepared to welcome them into a safe environment. We are aware that entering a new space (especially a worship service) can present challenges for those with special needs. For example, we are aware that sitting quietly for the duration of a worship service may be impossible, so we won't be offended by some noise or if you need to step out of the room. We will always be glad that you are here! Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help serve you.

How do I become a member of Westminster?
Anyone who trusts in Christ alone for salvation can be a member of WPC. We have a class called “Welcome to Westminster” where the pastor teaches about who we are and what we believe. It meets 3-4 times a year. It is required for those desiring to join WPC. Talk to Mitch to see when the next class will meet.

How can I get more involved at Westminster?
The best way to get to know people at WPC is to visit a Sunday School class or a small group. Also, plan to hang around after worship when you can make new friends while watching the kids play on the front lawn. We have monthly fellowship meals where you are invited to enjoy a good meal and good fellowship. We also have men’s groups and women’s groups that meet during the week.
